Here's the obit for the man's stuff you found. Thought you would find it interesting. There's a museum in Texas that has some of his father's ephemera. His father was in WWI, he was in WWII. He was a Jr., so his father had the same name. Took about 8 minutes of googling. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/122187363/victor-edward-lauderdale
Love reading through all your exciting finds! I love watching both you doing your dives, garage sales and trips. Looking forward to hopefully many more years of happy viewing. Take care, God bless and stay safe!
These are incredible. On the one hand, my collage heart sings, but on the other, I know I would never dare to actually use authentic pieces like these!
I searched for Victor Lauderdale, and found a UNT history site with a year book. It seems that he taught middle school and coached basketball. I’m a retired journalist.
That's so cool, thank you for sharing! Some of the other papers that aren't included in this newsletter are his teaching notes from a junior college in this area. It's all so interesting
my mother saved every piece of paper that she ever came in contact with...well almost...i have boxes and rooms and a three car garage with no cars in it full of records and pamphlets and calendars she meticulously took notes on...i can probably tell whet time i took a nap til on the afternoon of june 24, 1973...yes im old...she saved coupons and greeting cards (love the 60s and 70s ones)...i have diaries and cancelled checks and my parents drivers licenses going back years...and dont get me started on the slides and photos and just stuff...that woman loved paper and history...i got a kick watching y'all dig that out...if you ever wanna 'dive' a 3 car garage just let me know...have the best weekend!
I totally get why you grabbed this stuff! I love looking at old stuff too. Trying to imagine how things were, the cost of things in comparison to now is wild! Thanks for the extra looky loo! Love it!
This was your best haul in my opinion because you saved a little bit of the story of your town and one person in it ! Funny enough I grew up in Arizona and lived in Tucson. Geri now from Iowa 💐💕💐💕💐💕
We thought that was really interesting, too! It also mentioned his hourly wage starting at $3.50 but that he was getting regular 50 cent raises. Such a cool look into the past!

Awesome share!
So cool y’all!! Crazy how you are saving history!
Thanks, Taylor! We really appreciate your friendship and support.
This is so cool ! I bought my grandparents house and I’ve found pictures from the late 1800’s and it’s been one of the coolest things ever !
Ah that is a dream!

Fantastic finds. Maybe the local museum might be able to use the items to share with the community. Looking forward to your next share.😊👍
From the dumpster to a museum.. now that would be amazing! Thank you for reading, we appreciate you!

Love watching you both and love to see the treasures you find, I had never seen dumpster diving until I saw you on YouTube and now I’m hooked.
I'm so glad we could introduce you to our strange little hobby!
Love the memories. I can relate to the cost of living. I am now in my 70’s. Keep up the great work guys.

I think words—writing, poetry, history, investigation—run strong in your DNA!
I love to follow along as your explore and discover.
Thank you both!
